The inaugural Global Halal Excellence Awards highlight importance of the Halal brand and businesses
The inaugural Global Halal Excellence Awards (GHEA) 2020, to be unveiled in a ceremony in Putrajaya tomorrow, is well-deserved recognition of the vital role played by the Halal business industry in the region.
GHEA aims to be the leading regional award to promote prominent Halal brands and businesses, and encapsulates a larger outlook providing acknowledgement for halal brands. The awards also serve to highlight the importance of the Halal brand and businesses in the global market.
GHEA 2020 is held in conjunction with the Global Business Leadership Award (GBLA) 2020, with both awards organised by Asia Pacific Business Council for Sustainability and The Leadership Post.
“The award recognises individuals and organisations who excel in business leadership and adhering to the Halal business principles giving them a competitive advantage. The winners also serve as exemplary benchmarks of Halal business practices to leaders of other organisations,” said a statement issued by the GHEA and GBLA Secretariat.
The organisers hope the award creates a network of professionals committed to furthering the agenda of Halal businesses especially in the Asia Pacific Region. It also showcases potential young leaders leading and creating transformation in the Halal business industry.
The objectives of GHEA 2020 are to:
Recognise the transformational work done by talented leaders in various industries;Inspire young men and women to become successful leaders who create positive change;Encourage extensive investment in entrepreneurship and build up strong economies;Show the world how Islamic teachings stimulate accomplished individuals to excel; and Bridge the gap and enhance communication between current and future leaders.
The peer-to-peer networking opportunities available during the awards ceremony means that participants will be able to network with global leaders and CEOs.
The Awards programme is exclusively meant for the C-level professionals i.e. CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CTOs, CSOs, CROs, board members, celebrities, sports personalities, community leaders and other key organisational leaders with distinguished achievements. A total of 30 awards will be presented.
