PGMall has announced their official partnership with GrabExpress, becoming the first local e-commerce platform in Malaysia to do so. This collaboration with GrabExpress aims to meet the increasing need and demand for two-hour delivery of parcels due to prolonged national lockdown to curb the surge of Covid-19 cases nationwide.
“This two-hour delivery service by GrabExpress is particularly useful for delivery of essential goods as we want to encourage our Malaysian shoppers to stay home as much as possible during the current national lockdown,” said Jerry Ng, chief operating officer of PGMall.
“This collaboration allows shoppers to have their goods delivered right to their doorstep on the same day of purchase. We hope with this partnership, we could play a part in putting the Covid-19 pandemic under control,” he added.
Zafira Azahar, head of GrabExpress Malaysia shared, “As a homegrown company, we are happy to collaborate with a local e-commerce marketplace like PGMall to support the growth of local MSMEs through GrabExpress.”
“With many more small and local businesses embracing the digital economy, it is vital for platforms to innovate to meet their growing needs. By integrating our GrabExpress service to PGMall’s shipping facilities, businesses on
PGMall will now be able to capture the on-demand needs of consumers. We believe together with our strategic partners like PGMall, we can help businesses adapt and continue to thrive in these ever changing times.”
PGMall believes shoppers are the value creators for the whole economy chain, for all goods must have a buyer in order for it (goods) to be valuable within the supply and demand economy ecosystem. Therefore, to ensure shoppers’ demand and needs are constantly met, especially in the midst of a national lockdown to battle the recent rampant increase in Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, while sustaining the local economy, PGMall sees a need to heighten their shipping facilities by collaborating with GrabExpress to enable two-hour delivery, to help
generate a consistent, if not, more income for both its sellers and shoppers.
Through this partnership, sellers on PGMall will now have access to GrabExpress’ delivery options to meet consumers’ needs. GrabExpress uses motorbikes and cars to fulfil the customer’s specific delivery needs. Live tracking is made available for both sender and recipients with assurance that all parcels will be handled with care and delivered safely to its recipient. Proof of delivery upon completion will be sent making sure that delivering parcels with GrabExpress is not only convenient and hassle free, but also trusted.
PGMall currently has over 20,000 sellers and 1.5 million shoppers onboard, with approximately two million items consisting of lifestyle products and services that are catered to both the local and regional market.
