Samsung Shares Digital Best Practices at MaxisOne Business Digital SME Conference 2015

In an effort to share and inspire new ways of approaching business in the new millennia, Samsung Malaysia Electronics recently took part at the MaxisOne Business Digital SME Conference 2015 to feature digital tools and techniques that boost productivity, save time and reduce costs for entrepreneurs and their businesses.

“Operational flexibility and efficiency is key in today’s fast-moving world, hence going digital undoubtedly gives businesses a multitude of opportunities and a great competitive advantage. As one of the leading technology companies in the world, we take it upon ourselves to innovate and help businesses grow by sharing valuable insights and knowledge,” said Mr Young D. Kim, Vice President, Strategic Relations and Solution Initiatives, Mobile Division Samsung Electronics Co.

In a session specifically dedicated to mobile business-to-business (B2B), Samsung led the conversation on incorporating new ways of working using digital technology and solutions to enhance businesses. Citing successful case studies, Mr Young shared Samsung Mobile’s overall B2B strategy and how the brand has worked with SMEs by offering knowledge and insights to build the right business solutions.

Samsung’s Mobile B2B session also included a presentation of the company’s newly launched product the KNOX Custom Configurator, and how it helps enhance small to medium businesses (SMB). KNOX Customization is a comprehensive set of tools and services that allow enterprise businesses to customize and deploy end-to-end mobile solutions. With KNOX Customization, Samsung devices can be transformed into purpose-built appliances for B2B markets such as aviation, retail, and hospitality. The tool can also be used to automatically import content/applications onto the device or even lock a specific application into ‘Professional Kiosk Mode’ for public shared devices.

“The feedback we received has been very encouraging and it is good to see such passion and drive in the participants. Many of the attending SMB customers were very interested to learn more about turning generic Samsung smartphones and tablets into purpose-built business appliances,” added Mr Young.

The conference which was organized in two locations in Kuala Lumpur and Penang saw an overwhelming combined participation of 1000 rising entrepreneurs exploring the possibilities of digitalising their businesses.
