RAM Group recently introduced Islamic Finance – The New Normal as part of its initiatives to promote the growth and development of Islamic Finance.
Launched by Deputy Finance Minister I Dato’ Wira Othman Aziz at the 3rd Annual Symposium on Islamic Finance at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, the new book highlights the evolution, challenges and market potentials of the growing Islamic finance industry; complementing RAM’s inaugural book, Sukuk Handbook, published in 2009.
This latest publication is a compilation of articles by renowned personalities from The Global University of Islamic Finance, Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission Malaysia, the World Bank Global Islamic Finance Development Centre, Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank and Khazanah Nasional Berhad. The content contributors also include key industry players, both domestic and international.
“The book represents a useful and comprehensive reference tool for market players, academics and students on the overall Islamic finance industry. It incorporates key technical facets and issue-driven commentaries by regulators, multilateral organisations, industry players and professionals,” Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Siti Norma Yaakob, Chairman of RAM Holdings said.
Comprising 10 chapters of technical analysis and thought-provoking leadership articles, the publication covers both the past and the future, including the mechanics of Islamic finance, its role in the global marketplace, the challenges and new dynamics faced, and the market’s potential.
The coverage extends across several economies that include Southeast Asia, Greater China, the Middle East and the Sub-Saharan Africa region. In addition, it highlights current issues such as digital disruptors, fintech, green growth and human capital development.
