The AIF International Symposium 2018, the annual flagship event by the Asian Institute of Finance (AIF), will be held on 29 August 2018 in Kuala Lumpur. With the theme ‘Talent Transformation: Developing Digital Mindsets and Competencies’, the symposium will discuss what is required to future proof talent management in the digital age.
In response to rapid developments in technology, new entrants and increasing consumer expectations, we are witnessing massive disruption in the financial services sector. The role of HR and talent management professionals in managing the changes required in employee mindsets, skills and competencies will be crucial to the future growth and success of the industry.
The symposium, to be held at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur, features speakers comprising business leaders and HR practitioners from the financial industry, international organisations and other business sectors.
“Following the success of the symposium since its inception in 2011, AIF intends to continue to provide a unique platform from which HR practitioners and professionals are able to benefit from the practical strategies and solutions discussed and apply these across their own organisations,” says AIF spokesperson Rajam Sega.
“Discussions at this year’s conference will not only cover digital transformation, innovation and mindsets, but will also focus on how to attract, engage and retain new Gen Z employees,” she added.
The first keynote address will be given by Kristine Dery, Research Scientist, MIT Sloan Centre for Information Systems Research, and Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Digital Disruption Research Group, Sydney; while the second keynote will be delivered by Neal Cross, Chief Innovation Officer, DBS Bank Singapore. The final keynote will be given by Pallavi Srivastava, Asia Pacific & GCG Talent Leader, IBM Global Technology Services, Singapore.
